Here’s another pair of earrings, adding on to the cafe collection. A little description: The white beads are similar to those used in white on loops. They look a little like panadol except that they are flatter and irregularly shaped. This time round, I thought of doing something simpler, minus loops after loops, so I simply stacked the “panadols” together with a tiny blue bead (unseen in photo) at the bottom. Surprisingly, they look rather neat and beachy to me.

Now, some of you can see that our earrings ain’t exactly selling very well and why should we keep making them? Well, the answer is really simple. If they sell, I am glad for someone out there appreciates the earrings and I can cover material cost. If it doesn’t, I won’t hide at one corner and cry because I know our earrings ain’t very well made and materials used are of lower quality than what you find in the mass market. None the less, I do enjoy making them and I won’t stop doing so any time soon. Each time I finished with half a pair, I will jump up with excitement and showcase it to everyone at home. Even resorting to MMS to friends at times. Silly as I am, I enjoy what I’m doing and I know there are many girls (not being sexist) out there who handmade their own accessories as well. Sadly, there are many who purchase them from shops like Diva too. So to each his own or her own, I will only stop when I lose interest on it one day.
May that day not come.
Danke,
Panda
If you hadn’t realise, photos of our handmade earrings are taken against a cafe background. Cafe will be the theme of the first series of our earrings collection. Look out for more series coming your way!
Here’s the third pair of earrings in the cafe collection:

name: white in loops
size: less than a pinkie
weight: light
description: looks better on ears than what you see here. Subtle tribal feel. Simple fare.

The title makes no sense, cos it’s for Panda only.
Anyway, that’s besides the point. Panda baked cakes!! Yummy cakes (i haven’t tried), but definitely loads of yums cos it’s packed with love for the *intendedS*. Pictures below.

P.S. The last picture probably won’t make sense, but you just need to know it’s existence. That’s enough. It’s MINE, by the way. *smirk too*
And no, these handmades aren’t for sale. Priceless.

i’ve got praise from a friend, but since he didn’t leave it as a comment here, I shan’t add it in myself (no, it’s not an imaginary friend). But he did this for me, and I just wanna say a huge THANK YOU. Thanks Frooze.
Here goes:

“today is a simple, good day”.

Panda goes through the usual educational system here on sunny island, Singapore - Primary to Secondary to Junior College and now, University. Looking back, she has always wanted to do art more than any other subjects and score well in it.
You can say art is the only lesson that she looks forward to (with Chinese being the last on her list). Her greatest story telling doodles can be found in her Sec1 – 4 chinese textbooks; they are splashed all over the pages. But habving a young mind like hers, she chose to believe in the infamous “art has no future” theory. And she got robbed of a chance to do art in Secondary when her appeal to the princiPAL failed. Soon after that, she missed the boat to Nafa because of moolah problem.
So fast forward to Junior College days: she was lucky enough to get into a JC’c AEP (Art Elective Program). The first 3 months of art-learning was great! She for once, did some art work under GOOD teachers (notice how hard it is to land yourself a good teacher) and for the first time exposed herself to art history, where artists’ names are unpronouncable. Sadly, it was a short lived art-learning journey. She found herself switched to the Geography class after 3 months later, falling yet again for the same theory she had once fallen for.
Still in Geography now that she is in Uni, she wonders where’s the great bright future that she believed to have existed.
None the less, she left behind her proud piece of work during her short stint in JC art classes. Below is Frog in the Drain, a 50 by 50(cm) arcylic on canvas painting. She wouldn’t have been able to produce this without her teacher IC, Mr Lak.

2nd pair of earrings, unnamed too.

Not much elaboration,
but the white beads are pretty (when viewed live) and are my personal favourite.
Loops are carefully bent to balance both sides of beads.

How many times do you hate what you are studying and wish you can end all miseries right at where it started? We need a little laugh when things get tough. Spot the no. of deceased, or would-be-deceased in the pic.
*PS: students from this school may understand this illustration better.

Yes, a big Thank you to friends who gave positive comments on this little blog of ours. This blog is still in its very modest stage but it’s little appreciation like yours that keeps us going.
So boys and girls, aunties and uncles, all comments on our doodles and art pieces are absolutely welcome! In fact, we want to see more of you too; send in any doodles you made on train journeys, crafts or art pieces that you are proud of…anything everything to us! It’s simple, we are just a gmail away.
Happy doodling,

Yes I’m a little late but it’s just so funny to see creative art in office, I have to put this up. Worth many laughs.
More doodles coming up later in the evening. Out to buy TOTO now, $5.5m, must try beginner’s luck. Ciao!

Heard the news on terrorism in London airports and I’m not feeling very good about it.
Most tell me it will die down by next month.
Still, knowing that I can’t bring anything on board inc my laptop is… lousy.
Knowing that people would have died horribly on planes cringes me.
The pretty london eye doesn’t look at that glam to me now.

First reason to smile: I LOVE the new look of this blog! I shall not to rave on and on about it here. Still, many many credits to Pig!
Second reason to smile: Our project, though will be never quite done, it’s ready for its showcase. Yes I’m talking about making jeweleries or accessories that are one of a kind! No duplication, no copycats, only sheer pocket money and twisting of fingers. So here you go =)

This is my maiden piece, unnamed at the moment. All materials are from that Chinatown shop I mentioned earlier and it took me slightly more than half an hour to complete this.
Now, I know many people does hand made accessories and I’m not going to be screaming how different I am from others. I don’t even know if I am. But I do believe in sharing both the product and process with others. So look out for coming (not very sure when) posts of more earrings and a “accessories making for dummies” guide authored by WeDoodle, and of course Pig’s doodles.
Last reason to smile?
Can’t stop looking at it (I’m soooo happpppyyyyyy!)

It’s not that the novelty of having a website has worn off, just that we aren’t ready to present our maiden project yet! (If you remember from our previous entry)!
Meanwhile I’ve been doing doodles too. Just that the lack of technological equipment is preventing me from posting them up.
More apologies to come, because school is starting (for me), and it just might get busier.
We’ll try our best! Stay tuned

Funny. Was watching Project runway earlier and for the first time, I felt I couldn’t do anything close to what’s on TV. Alright i’ve never done a garment before (though I drew alot) but I was always rather sure and confident that it won’t be a mean feat to produce one. What used to be “I think I can do that” and then I will start visualizing it in my head where to cut and piece and sew etc, today’s gut feeling was…off. (more…)

Here’s the first latest project by us! What you see is a wire cutter (got it from NTUC at a low cost of $1.60 after a 20% discount ha!). This wire cutter plus many many other tools will make perfect, hand crafted jeweleries, dosed with lotsa love and effort! It all started with a trip to a beads and tool store in Chinatown and of course, a great passion in design. (more…)

I’m an IT idiot. But finally i managed to make them appear.
These doodles are wonderful memories of Panda in hall, scripted by Pig. We have Panda’s one and only big ticket item – the bulky laptop, her very kind neighbours, her Hoegarden plan with Pig. Those times…nostalgic.
