“In life we discover many things as we age. That Santa Claus doesn’t exist, that the Easter bunny and the Tooth Fairy are not real. Likewise we discover sin. In Tarot, innocence and naivety are associated with The Fool, for the young have no fear of new experiences or change. As you grow older you can lose that childish innocence and enthusiasm, and can become fearful and cynical of change and new experiences.”

“The childish innocence and beauty of countenance, the childish frankness and gaiety of heart, the childish quickness and intelligence of understanding, were exchanged for vacant looks, stupid indifference, and that half-cunning expression which is always induced by craven fear.  Innocence is something that most of us loose as we grow older.”

Nothing Gold Can Stay

“Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.”

Filed under: Doodles, im Café

Its been a long time since I last posted something and Im really guilty about it. But It also says how much I have going on – basically nothing much and Im quite ok about it.

Just sometime ago I was comtemplating about signing up for sewing courses (to finally do something in the pursuit of my interest) but as usual the lack of time was the one big deterance.

Recently two friends asked for hand made jewerelies from me and that made me realised how long I haven been touching my pliers, wires and beads. I brought em to London and only did a pair over there, partly because I was dissappointed by my fruitless hunt for nice beads (where I imagined to find lotsa exotic and cheap - glass, ceremic, wooden beads – along some unique artsy streets where it, surely, only existed in my imagination).

Over there too, I bought three 2nd hand art books (on Van Gough and his work) and set a resolution to study the drawings and produce some eventually, which I never did.

Over there again, I bought a Leica like rangefinder camera, a Zorki, and took on huge enthiusiasm to learn photography only to have it broken down while in less than a month.

And recently Pig showed me Pixar is hiring… SKILLED artist, which I would dream to qualify for.

And knowing what I want in life is bad because I don’t know if I can do what I want in life.

And here’s a rather bad photoshop edited doodle I made of and in a cafe in Santiago called Camida Italiana Cafe. It’s the best ambeinced cafe I’ve ever been to and I could stay there the whole day if I can afford the time, I swear.
