Every morning, when the sky is only beginning to lighten up, his petite mother walks him out to the bus stop, and doesn’t leave until she sees him up the bus and safely seated. He’ll turn back from where he’s seated to give her an reassuring wave before she turns to head home. Sometimes, they leave home late, and mother and son run hand in hand to chase the bus. There’s a warm feeling just watching them.

I find it funny ’cuz he has his mother’s tiny frame–when he sits, his bag takes up more of his seat than he; his tie ends off the middle of his shorts instead of his shirt, and whenever the bus brakes just a little bit harder, he loses his footing.
But he carries himself with this air of “Mum trusts me to take a public bus to school on my own so I’m a big boy now” with a confident, serious, almost-adult look. Just like the little kids who feel like they’ve got a big responsibility entrusted upon them when their mother tells them to look after younger siblings. Cute. And so he’s on my book.

On another note, it’s been ages since I maintained such an early lifestyle, I’ve forgotten the uniform days when I woke early to get to school on time for flag-raising. I get on the same bus as said uniformed kids (hence the earlier comment on seeing a different crowd these days), think about how long ago uniform-days Seem, and feel old. Time machine, anyone?

On the bus, again, homebound. This time, I saw a lady sitting almost diagonally from me. Felt that her angled back view looked quite nice, so she ended up on my book

The other day, on my way home, I stopped at a bus stop to change buses. And from another bus alighted this woman whom I only had a back view of: Lilac top, purple skirt. Deep purple bag and shoes (I swear they’re the same colours). She could’ve topped it off with purple dyed hair. I call her the Purple Lady. Did this based on memory of whatever I saw of her. It’s fun to people-watch—something I’ve got a habit of doing sometimes. These days I’ve people watched a different crowd of people. More next time.

I didn’t really complete this picture cos I did it approx. 3 weeks before now, intending to add colours…but I didn’t have a chance to complete it before…I got busy

Just a slight twitch of levels–I happen to like the blue tinge so I didn’t end up twitching much. It’s a very raw sketch, lots of things need to be done to make it look more complete, or at least, more like what I had in mind (which happens to be coloured). But I’m lazy cuz I’ll need a lot of time since I’m not very skilled. Plus I may like it too much to add in colour at the end of the day ;p So i’m uploading the unedited one first.

On one of my meetups with panda, I sat down and doodled the view in front of me. Didn’t quite finish before we left-as you can see, there are still missing details. It wasn’t exactly the best view one could have doodled, considering that it’s just a plain basement. Quite a known basement though. But I don’t think anyone will be able to recognize it from my doodle though, seeing as there’s no hint whatsoever.
Would you be curious? Highlight the bottom. ;p

A friend, S, commented that my doodles are usually of a less than happy note.

A doodle based on a picture I found, doodled during a period when I was feeling low some time back.
